Sweaty Ramadan Nights

I have been coerced into creating a blog. Blog blog blog. I blogged in my sleep last night. So embarrassing.

I stayed up last night until five o'clock watching The Big Lebowski under ideal circumstances. I've been very uptight of late, letting the shitty situation at work wear on my nerves. Ma^lesh. I've also been sick, but it's for a cold to cramp you when you never do anything or go anywhere healthy.

I went to an exhibition at the Cairo Opera House last week called Form Through Light. All the pieces were in some way related to the Beni Suef theater fire of early September, which killed a bunch of people and caused a big scandal in the government. A decent show, I got to meet some of the artists afterward. I've been going to some concerts out by Hussein mosque. The first one featured a didgeridoo (sp?) and the second one a weird African inverted steel drum. I wish I had more information, but I forget people's names. I guess that's one of the benefits of having a blog. Blog, blog, blog.

I spend too much money. I'm staying in Zemalek, a quiet, fairly central, pricey district. The place isn't worth what I'm paying, I'd rather move downtown, pay less and be able to walk places. I'll need to take on private tutoring jobs to pay the bills and set up a way to quit my job.

I watch too much tv. Far too much, considering on most networks it's all Becker, all the time.

Eat more pomegranates. God, they're so good.

Oh, my God. Pomegranates are great.

I've been meaning to start taking Arabic lessons. My language and hermit attitude are holding me back.

End post.
