Ah, Egypt

I was in Port Said a few weeks ago for a weekend with some friends. The night before I came back to Cairo we went to this back alley tea shopwhere they play crappy Egyptian action movies on the tv and disreputable types sit in the corner and smoke hash from a funny looking shisha with a sugar cane stalk.

Not long after we sat down there was a commotion in the street outside. When we looked up we saw an overweight angry man, dressed in white briefs and flip flops, rushing purposefully down the street with a big old knife in his hand. Some of the patrons of the tea shop ran after the guy and brought him back, presumably before he made use of his knife. Later Mohanned pointed to the big portrait on the wall and asked "isn't that the guy we just saw walking down the street?" The very same dude who was running around armed at two in the morning in his underwear was the owner of the tea shop we were sitting in. Dangle, participle!
