Crazy Batshit Cairo Blurs Fact/Fiction Line

Last year geeks with nothing better to do got very excited over the working title of a third-rate Samuel Jackson movie - Snakes on a Plane. "What a foolish title! What a stupid premise!" they chuckled to themselves in ironic bemusement.

Well, it turns out one Egyptian man didn't get the message that Snakes on a Plane = Dumb Dumb Dumb. Some clever knob by the name of Yahia Rahim Tulba is reportedly being held after he admitted to customs officials at Cairo International Airport that his carry-on luggage contained 700 live snakes, including two poisonous cobras.

Operation Smile

I was explaining to mister Beef Q. Lewis that uploading photos is the best way to give the impression that you are regularly updating your blog without actually putting in any effort.

And no one cares

Israeli security forces reportedly shot Irish Nobel Peace Laureate Mairead Corrigan Maguire at a nonviolent protest at the so-called security fence last month. Good old Angry Arab points us to a nice bit of outraged invective about the lack of commentary in the mass media (or any media, for that matter) on Common Dreams, home of ineffectual outraged invective.

Shooting a Nobel peace laureate. I hear the Israeli crib-seeking missile technology is coming along nicely, too.
