Texan Legislators Teach Us About Democracy

Texas, home to all things hilarious and terrible, outdoes itself once again. Apparently it's common practice in the Texas State Legislature to cast as many damn votes as possible when a vote is called.

Good Boy

Although they still enjoy free access to their employees' bodily fluids, Californian employers will no longer be able to forcibly implant RFID chips under their employees' skin, thanks to a recently passed law.

While I'm happy to hail any roadblocks to the slow and inevitable descent into the enslavement of the entire human race to sinister corporations, there does seem to be one loophole: The law forbids subcutaneous implantation for all people, but excludes external tagging of prisoners and internal tagging of pets. So how long until some crafty Californian corporation figures out how to re-classify its employees as pets?
